Will the Animated Character Really Look Like You?
Why it's the question we hear most
It makes perfect sense. You're ordering something you've never seen before, personalized with you or the people you love, and you want to know what to expect before you pay. So we'll give you an honest answer, not just a reassuring one.
What "looking like you" actually means
It isn't a photo filter, and it isn't a photorealistic copy of your face. The characters are animated in a Pixar/Disney style, so there's always some stylization. What we aim for is a likeness you'd recognize instantly: the shape of your face, your hair color and style, the features that make you you. The kind of detail that makes you say "yes, that's really me", rather than a pixel-perfect replica.
Which photos help the most
Clear, front-facing photos with good light and your whole face visible. They don't need to be professional, just clear. If you can send 2 or 3 photos from slightly different angles, even better: it helps us capture your features accurately from more than one point of view.
What doesn't help (and can affect the result)
Blurry or dark photos, group shots where the person is tiny or partly hidden, sunglasses or hats covering the face, or only side-profile pictures. All of these make the process harder and raise the chance that the result won't be as true to life.
You stay in control before the final version
We never send the finished video straight away. First you get an early version that you can watch and comment on before approving it. If something doesn't feel right, we adjust it together, precisely so there are no unpleasant surprises on delivery day.
The takeaway
With clear, front-facing, well-lit photos, the result is usually surprisingly faithful. Not a perfect copy, but something far more personal than a generic character: your own features, reimagined in the cartoon style you choose.
